River Oak Christian Academy has provided a Christ-centered and high-quality education to hundreds of pre-K through 8th-grade students over the last 18 years. Traditionally occupying rented space, the school board decided in 2020 to launch a capital campaign aimed at securing a larger and permanent home, with a gymnasium and enough classroom space for two sections of each grade level. The Lord blessed that effort with a successful campaign that raised over $6 million in gifts and pledges. Last year, the school bought a commercial building prominently located at 3308 West Edgewood Drive and hired an architect to design a reconstruction of the interior space, with plans to move into the new location for the 2025-2026 school year.

With its largest enrollment ever, River Oak is educating 177 students in 2024-2025. A much larger enrollment in 2025-2026 is expected with the additional classroom space that will be provided in our new building.

Despite the challenge of space constraints at its current location, River Oak students consistently achieve significantly higher standardized test scores than do those in other area schools. Adhering to its mission of academic excellence and strong biblical foundation, River Oak attracts students from over thirty-five mid-Missouri churches.
