River Oak Christian Academy has provided a Christ-centered and high-quality education to hundreds of pre-K through 8th-grade students for 19 years. Traditionally occupying rented space, the school board decided in 2020 to launch a capital campaign aimed at securing a larger and permanent home. The Lord blessed that effort with a successful campaign that raised over $6 million in gifts and pledges. In 2024, the school bought a commercial building prominently located at 3308 West Edgewood Drive and hired an architect to design a reconstruction of the interior space.

With construction of the gymnasium still underway, the school moved into its new building and started the 2025-2026 school year with its largest enrollment ever – 194 students, with two sections of kindergarten and room for additional grades to grow!

A second campaign has been equally successful and is still underway. Due to the generosity of a supporter, all gifts given through December 31, 2025, will be matched dollar for dollar.

River Oak students consistently achieve significantly higher standardized test scores than do those in other area schools. Adhering to its mission of academic excellence with a strong biblical foundation, River Oak attracts students from over thirty-five mid-Missouri churches. The school is known for its outstanding teachers and family-focused culture, partnering together to teach students the truth of God’s Word.
